Egyptian Freemasonry welcomes individuals of all genders, social backgrounds, and professions. Dispelling common misconceptions, Freemasonry is not an exclusive society but rather a brotherhood and sisterhood that embraces sincere people from all walks of life.
If you are considering joining the Freemasons, it is essential to reflect on your motivations. By examining your reasons, you will be better prepared to request membership in our Lodge.
To become a Freemason, you must be at least 21 years of age. During the admission process, you will be evaluated by three Brothers or Sisters who must demonstrate your qualifications within the Lodge.
Joining an esoteric Lodge is different from joining a regular masonic Lodge. We are not a public organization. Therefor we do not organize information days where you can informally meet our members.
After we have received your application with a motivational letter, your mundane and esoteric resume, we will contact you. This contact person will be the only Brother or Sister you will get to know during the admission process.
When you have further questions we can send you our information booklet called ‘The Book of Parvis’. It is also possible to have a phone-call and/or meet up for coffee and get familiar with your contact-person.
When both the Lodge and you feel ready to proceed, you will be invited for an interview. You will be blindfolded and escorted to a secret location where the interview will take place. The process itself can be uncomfortable and requires a certain amount of trust.
The application will include:
Note: the information you provide in your application can be shared with other Brothers and Sisters for the purpose of examining your application and will be handled discretely.
You can send us an e-mail with your questions and/or leave us your information and we will contact you.
We come together in the Hague.
We meet four times a year for initiations. Our initiating Officers meet more often to attend the Lodge of Instruction. Our meetings are during the weekend and last the whole day, including the evening if we are organising an Agape (a brotherly meal). In the future we want to increase the number of meetings of our Lodge to once a month.
We also organise lectures, instruction and degree study through Zoom software on a regular basis.
Yes the Rite of Memphis-Misraim acepts both men and women into the Lodge.
We choose to charge a small fee for initiation (approximately 65.- euro) to cover our costs for printing degree books and re-supplying our incense, candles etc. There are also yearly dues which cover our costs in running the organisation (approximately 150.- euro).
